Summary:
In the beginning of chapter 12, Johann runs into Doktor Graebers on the street. Graebers is drunk and starts yelling about how they were both Nazis. He drew a crowed and got arrested.
When Johann about how he needed to go visit with Greta. She told him about her friends the Tinies. Her four favorite ones are Johann, Helga, Paul-Adolf, and Greta. She named them. She told them how they helped and protected her.
At dinner Paul-Adolf tells his parents about how he learned that Adolf Hitler was the new chancellor and they had a picture of him on the wall. After dinner the two parents meet in the waiting room.
The next morning he read in the Reichstag was destroyed by the a fne. They said that it was a plot from the ammunrs. Johann decided to join the Nazi party. But before he did he decided to talk to Graebers and not tell Helga. Halfway through the day. He yelled at a little Jewish boy for puking on him. This finally made him decide to join the Nazi party.
